I started to like Psychology more and more. Psychology wasnt my first option. I even never thought about taking it before. Pas semester satu kemarin tuh rasanya masih biasa aja. Banyak teman-teman di kelas yang 'lebih psikologi' daripada gw. Maksudnya, psychology was their first option dan it's their dream untuk ngambil psikologi. Mungkin juga karena courses yang diambil masih umum.

But in this second semester, I started to enjoy it a lot better. Beberapa hal yang gw alami sejak belajar psikologi adalah, your mind biasanya akan 'ooohh..ituu....' Lo bakal menemukan bahwa ternyata fenomena-fenomena yang terjadi di daily life itu ada namanya dan juga hal-hal unik lain. Contohnya, kalo you're in a crowd and suddenly someone call or mention your name or things that related to you or you like, you will hear it serame apapun itu. It's called the 'Cocktail Party Effect.' You can easily and automatically switched your attention.

Another example is, when you are familiar with your ex's perfume. And then when you go to a mall, you pass a perfume store and you smell the fragrant. Although you dont know the brand or just smell it a little bit, that fragrant will remind you of your ex. This phenomena is called 'Proust Phenomenon,' when a particular smell brings back memory. Interesting right?

Ada satu guru gw di HighScope yang juga lulusan psychology. I didnt really know him pas highschool tapi karena last term-break spent some days di HS terus ngobrol sm dia, each conversations makes me want to learn psychology more and mooore~ Specifically about people's behavior and personality. Dia shared some knowledge gimana analisis orang lewat perilakunya. Super cool :"D dampaknya, gw jadi lebih sering memperhatikan orang. I dont have enough knowledge yet but well, early practice should help, right :p
